Annual Benefit Statements 2026
Unless your pension is in payment, you’ll receive an Annual Benefit Statement from us each year that will show the current value of your LGPS pension.
These statements are a useful tool to help you keep track of your pension build-up and plan for retirement.
We are currently in the process of issuing these statements and will complete this by the statutory deadline of 31 August.
Unless you’ve opted out of online communications, your statement will be uploaded onto ‘My Pension Online’, our self-service portal. We’ll email you let you know it’s there if we have your email address. If you have more than one pension account, you’ll receive a separate notification and statement for each.
Get ready by registering for ‘My Pension Online’
‘My Pension Online’ has a dedicated Annual Benefit Statement dashboard that provides you with a summary of the information shown on your statement. This includes the current value of your LGPS pension and an estimate of the death benefits payable to you.
If you are still paying into the Scheme, you will also be able to see a pension forecast showing how much pension you could receive at your Normal Pension Age as well as your tax-free lump sum options.
To view your statement in full, click on ‘View my documents’ on your ‘My Pension Online’ dashboard.

If you have any difficulties accessing ‘My Pension Online’, please email [email protected].
If you’ve opted out of online communications, your statement will be posted to you.
Keeping you updated
The Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) is governed by Regulations set by the Government, which may change from time to time. To help keep you informed about any updates that could affect you, we produce two newsletters, one for active members and one for deferred members. These are issued alongside your Annual Benefit Statement.
Digital versions of these newsletters can be accessed below:
For active members of the Scheme, we’ll also send an Annual Benefit Statement guide to help you make sense of your statement. If you’re no longer paying into the Scheme, take a look at the deferred Annual Benefit Statement webpage.
