The Government’s Stop! Think Fraud campaign provides consistent, clear and robust anti-fraud advice to the public and is backed by leading counter fraud experts. It’s intended to give everyone the knowledge and tools they need to stay ahead of scams.

Did you know that fraud accounts for around 40% of all crime in England and Wales and the estimated cost of fraud to society is over £6.8 billion? You can help to stop these statistics from rising by using the information from the Stop! Think Fraud campaign.

• test whether you know how to avoid fraud by taking the quiz
