P60s and Payslips – May 2025
If you’re receiving a pension from us, you’ll receive a P60 by 31 May each year. Your P60 shows the amount of pension you have been paid during the previous year, as well as any tax deducted.
Your 2024/25 P60 is now available to view on our self-service portal, ‘My Pension Online’. If you haven’t logged in before, you’ll need to register first. ‘My Pension Online’ was upgraded in December 2023 so if you registered on the old site, you can transfer your account quickly and easily onto the new one. For step-by-step instructions on how to do this see ‘My Pension Online’.
If you’ve previously told us that you wish to opt out of online communications, your P60 will be posted to you. If you started receiving your pension after 1 April 2024, you will receive your first P60 next year.
For more information on reading your P60, take a look at our guide on pages 10 and 11 of this year’s In-Touch newsletter.
Your May payslip
We produce printed payslips in May and September only. We are unable to issue payslips outside of these months for any other reason. If you wish to see details of your other monthly payments, they are available on ‘My Pension Online’.
Your May payslip will be issued by the end of this month.
Keep your details up to date
It’s really important that you keep us updated with your address when you move house. If your payslip or P60 is returned to us, we will suspend your pension payments until you provide us with written confirmation of your new address for security reasons.
You can check or update your address by logging into ‘My Pension Online’ and clicking on ‘update my details’. If you don’t use ‘My Pension Online’, you can tell us about a change of address by completing a change of details form.
What to do if you think your tax code is wrong
We are required to notify HMRC of the amount you are receiving, and they issue a tax code accordingly. We have no control over tax codes or the amount of tax that is deducted from your pension and are unable to help with any tax-related queries you have.
If you have any queries about tax paid on a pension, contact HMRC.
