Guidance to scheme members

We provide a range of services to assist LGPS members with their pension. This includes a dedicated member helpline and for more complex queries, one to one appointments with a pensions officer. More information can be found in the contact us webpage.

My pension online

‘My pension online’ is our free online self-service portal allowing scheme members to access their pension account 24/7. ‘My pension online’ can be used to:

  • update contact details
  • run pension estimates
  • view letters and statements

‘My pension online’ is the Fund’s default communication method, though members can opt out if they do not wish to use it or would rather receive information by post. Each year we publish annual benefit statements for your LGPS members and upload them to ‘my pension online’. Please encourage your staff to register and login at: https://ms.buckinghamshire.gov.uk/

New LGPS member leaflet

It is best practice to supply your employees with information about the LGPS, even if they decide to opt-out. To assist you with this, we have created the ‘new LGPS member leaflet’ which provides a summary of key information for new starters and prospective members. You can attach this to any email you send to new starters as part of your induction process. Our website lgps.buckinghamshire.gov.uk provides members with comprehensive information about the scheme and includes all our forms.

We have two posters on our Guides, Forms and Booklets page which you can download and display in communal places to promote our website and ‘my pension online’.
